Deaf News

Sheri’s Event Calendar

***
I’m so glad I had an opportunity to fellowship with my Kirby Woods friends at their breakfast as they celebrated 70 years of ministry.  I hope you also had a nice banquet and Sunday service.

It was good to meet some of DeafConnect’s Level 2 students there.  I want to learn more about the skins used for hearing aids and CI’s.  Anyone out there with links to skin designs for hearing aids and CI’s, please let me know.

If you have cereal boxes or the like with images that would make a nice bookmark, please save them for me.  Here are some I made (before using a straight-edge to make them neater): http://tinypic.com/r/2bp3rt/8

Here is a source for ebooks for your student or child (not sign language related).  You have to create an account.

A hard of hearing student told me she gets her knowledge of nursery rhymes from the YouTube channel “Cool School”.  It doesn’t look like it has captions 8( , but it has visuals that you may can supplement with your more accessible material.  The 30 minutes clip of nursery rhymes had some funny extraneous information, but summarizes with the traditional nursery rhyme.
