I hope everyone took the opportunity to vote last Tuesday.  I was off work and after voting took the time to start organizing YouTube videos.  I have them organized by various categories… here are 3 of them.

Children Stories that are signed and voiced:

Signed vocabulary (with supporting pictures):

Themed Signed Language Lessons (this is not an endorsement of the product/service):

This is not an endorsement for the products on this site, but I think the FAQ is an interesting read for parents (answered by a teacher in Deaf Education).

See the responses to questions like…

  • Question: The educational experts are telling me not to sign to my deaf baby because he won’t be normal and won’t learn to talk if he learns to sign.
  • Question: The doctor told me not to worry about my deaf baby.  "She will be fine", he says. Is that true?
  • Question: I have been trying to make sense of all the information I have been given since finding out my child is deaf.  It is so confusing and conflicting.  Who is right?  Who should I believe? Who can I trust?
  • Question: The doctor says my two year old doesn’t have a hearing loss.  He says he is just slow in responding and developing, but will be ok.  He says, just give him time.

What I did last weekend :)

My husband and I raced in a side by side four hour endurance race last weekend. We won 2nd place out of 33 riders. Take a look... during the whole race we only stopped one time for gas. This shows some of the race and the pit stop... Just in case you thought your teachers didn't have any fun haha
