Some of our students are asking about the availability of MATA bus passes
to enable them to remain after school for tutoring. Your Title 1 Team did a bit
of investigative work. This is what we discovered.
MATA IDs cost $3.00 and are processed at the William Hudson Transit
Center - 444 N. Main St. (901) 523-8134. Replacement cards are $5.00.
This card is used to obtain the reduced
student fare. Student Fare: All students in grades 1-12 are
eligible for a discounted student fare rate. Proof of enrollment (such as a
report card or progress report) and a form of identification is required, such
as birth certificate, social security card, insurance card, and parents or
guardians may serve as a form of ID.
