Chemistry - Coulter 4th

Today we worked on Specific Heat Equations and students presented on their Elements.

Presentations on the Elements:
Argon: Used in incandescent lightbulb
Cobalt: Used in drills, used as an alloy to make very strong, it is a high strength alloy, used for aircraft engines, made in super alloys
         Alloy: a combination of metals
Brass is an alloy: of Zinc and Copper

Titanium: TiCl4 Used in Golf Club, Smoke Screens, used as a catalysts, used in making plastic, alloyed with other metals to make strong or lightweight metals, artificial limbs are made from titanium, aircraft parts, sporting goods, orthopedic , orthodontic implants, mobile phones

Molybdenum: used in strong alloys, High strength steel alloys, pigments, catalysts, in used in fertilizer, stainless and alloy, can withstand high temperatures

Be practicing your Specific Heat Equations. We will have a test later in the week.
