Bell Work-
1. In what cell part does Photosynthesis occur?
Chloroplast
Questions 2-7 will be answered in the article they will read today.
2. What do the Chloroplasts do with light energy?
Chloroplasts work to convert light energy of the sun into sugars that can be used by cells.
3. What is something that plants release?
Plants release oxygen.
4. How many membranes does a Chloroplast have?
Chloroplasts have 2 membranes that protect the inner parts of the chloroplasts.
5. What do Chlorophyll molecules do?
Chlorophyll molecules sit on the surface of each thylakoid and capture light energy from the sun.
6. What do the lamellae do for the Chloroplast?
Lamellae act like the skeleton of the chloroplast, keeping all of the sacs a safe distance from each other and maximizing the efficiency of the organelle.
7. What is the whole purpose of Photosynthesis?
Photosynthesis is the process of a plant taking energy from the Sun and creating sugars.
