Bell Work- What do you call the Monomers (small
pieces) which you put together t make Proteins?
Answer: Amino Acids
The students did an activity called: Building
Macromolecules. They were instructed to color the pieces different colors:
Water; Amino Acid; Simple Sugar; Glycerol; Pentose Sugar; Fatty Acid; Base;
Phosphate
After coloring and cutting;
1. Assemble a Disaccharide Sugar
Glue: Simple
Sugar-Water-Simple Sugar (2 sugars is called a disaccharide).
