Biology Plus Notes- September 10, 2015

First Period Only

 

Bell Work- Picture was shown and students were asked: Which type of succession is shown and explain? Answer: Primary succession because it started with bare rock.

 

Students were given 10 minutes to read a handout on Succession.

 

After reading the handout the question was:

Explain how a pond can become a forest or how a volcano in the ocean can become a wooded island. 

( All they needed to do was find the information in the passage and repeat it. )

 

During the second period, students will be given a quizlet with the same vocabulary from last week’s quiz. They will be able to use their notes to complete it. Students will work with a partner.
