First Period
The students played a Jeopardy game to review vocabulary for their test, which will be Friday.

1. Biome-a particular grouping of plants and animals that are able to survive in a specific climate region
2. Climate- a condition of weather over a long period of time
3. Vegetation- the plants belonging to an area or a region
4. Adaptation- A change in a plant or animal that makes it better able to live in a particular place or situation
5. Ecosystem-All the living organisms that exist together in a particular area. Eco means environment.
6. Picture of Grassland biome
7. Picture of Deciduous forest biome (Memphis is in this biome)
8. Picture of Rain Forest biome(very green with a lot of animals)
9. Which forest biome is located mostly in the red shaded area? Which country is above the U. S.? Canada- what do we know about climate of Canada? Cold. So biome in the shaded area has a cold climate. Answer- Taiga (Coniferous Forest)
