Parent Workshop

Shelby County Schools Exceptional Children Parent Training 6 week Parent Training Workshop 

Presented by Shelby County Schools Behavior Consultants

Locations: Bond Building and Dexter Elementary 
October 4, 18, 25 and 
November 1, 8, and 22 
Time: 10:00-11:30

Target Audience: These workshops may benefit parents who have a child spending the majority of his/her day in the special education setting, i.e., pre-school or functional skills class. 

These children may have a diagnosis of Autism and Related Disorders, Developmental Delay, Intellectual Disability, or Speech/Language Impairment. 

The focus of the workshops is “Tools for Changing Behavior.” Sessions will be based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. Strategies that can be applied in the home, community, and school settings will be explained, modeled and role-played throughout the sessions.
