PURPOSE OF WHITE STATION
HIGH SCHOOL SIGN LANGUAGE CLUB
The
Purpose of the White Station Sign Language Club is to
teach students within the school American Sign Language and to help build
relationships between hearing and Deaf students.
Our club ultimately fosters deaf awareness and gives
students opportunities to meet new people while learning a new language.
Our club offers a wide variety of activities,
which include: learning new vocabulary, fluency, Deaf history, and Deaf culture
as well as appreciating Deaf community speakers, movies, and information.
