Bell Work- What is the important molecule that is produced by Photosynthesis?
Glucose = sugar (C6H12O6) ; Oxygen also.
Students did a read aloud and then answered 3 questions.
1. What do you call the folded part inside the Mitochondria?
Cristae- layered structures created by the inner membrane, which is folded over many times.
2. Why are Mitochondria important?
Mitochondria are the powerhouse of the cell. Mitochondria are the working organelles that keep the cell full of energy.
3. What type of cells need many Mitochondria?
Muscle cells need many mitochondria because they need a lot of energy.
