3-13-15 Eng. 1 – Harris

1. Do Now:  The kids were to write in their journals how they felt about yesterday’s lesson—they’re  writing positive notes about each other and dropping them into individual sacks.
2. Kids exchanged grammar handouts and checked answers to 1) Handout on confusing words 2) Handout on differences of Affect and Effect.  

(Note:  M did not complete all of the second handout.  He left out his sentences)

3. Mrs. Sutton came in to give Ms. Harris a hug and compliment her on the positive impact yesterday’s lesson had on the students. (She had heard from a teacher and another student regarding it).
4. Test on novel:  13 Reasons Why.

Note to one and all:

I will not be here when we return from Spring Break.   I will still be in Colorado as my grandkids have their Spring Break the week following ours, and so I chose to stay over a few days so I can enjoy them when they’re out of school.

Mr. McDonald will be my substitute and—like always—he will take notes and do a very good job in helping you where/when he can.

(I will return on Thursday, March 26th.)
