2-4-15 – Eng. 1 – Harris

1. Open to pg. 441.  Be able to answer what is a thesis statement.
2. BE SURE YOU GET YOUR BOOK---“THIRTEEN REASONS WHY” as there are only 100 books in our school library and 154 students who will need a book!!
3. Do Now:  At what age do  you consider a person old?  What qualities should they possess?  When was the last time you had a positive experience with an older person?  Explain.
4. We listened to the audio of the story “A Celebration Grandfather.”
5. HOMEWORK:  Read the very next story, “On Summer.”

4. Students worked on their Critical Thinking questions in the back of the story.
5. HOMEWORK:  Finish your questions from both short stories for homework.
