·       BRING YOUR BOOK EVERYDAY
·       When you get to class, get out your folder, book, paper, notes, and calculator. Put your backpack at the back of the room.
·       No longer allowed to go to the restroom

Covalent Bonds:
A bond that Shares electrons
Two non-metals form covalent bonds

Weak Bonds:
Bonds between two non-metals (non-metalic)
Example:

IONIC BONDS
·      Metal-Nonmetal

·      Strong                                                         
·      Rigid
·      Transfer of e-

Valence Electrons
      All the electrons in the outer most (furthest) energy level



Covalent Bonds exist because two molecules bonded together are stronger (more stable) together than on their own.

Each atom has an octet  by sharing
