9-8-14 – CHATMAN-ENG IV
1. They got their lit books today from the library.
2. Bellwork: Journal entry:
3. Guiding Questions: What is sentence combining? What is a thesis statement? How do you
write a narrative essay?
4. There will be a TEST tomorrow morning on the reading
listed: Beginning on pg. 2 in lit bks. to pg. 16.
5. Chatman has been taking up students’ papers with red-marked revisions.
6. Erykah: use MLA heading: name, teacher’s name, Eng. IV, Date (ex: 7 September 2014)
Assignment. Used Times New Roman for your essay –always. It has to have 5 paragraphs and
be double-spaced.
7. Tomorrow your final draft will be due.
8. Note: She won’t be putting a grade on your essay until it’s in final revision form.
9. Do not turn in papers that are typed and then you have written something on it.
10. Assignment: Narrative/Final Draft = Be sure your final paper is ready to turn in tomorrow
morning.
