Today we will finish talking about "Why Study History" and talk about primary and secondary source documents and BIAS in history.
If we have time today, we will begin talking about the "First Americans" - early human settlement of North America. This will help you realize that there is a long prehistory of N. America, prior to European exploration and settlement. CLASSROOM READING
Then we will watch "Guns, Germs, and Steel" - which gives insight into why Europeans were able to conquer Native Americans. We will dispel some myths about racial superiority here.
Finally, we will get into the settling of the colonies, revolution, and founding of America.
